The Fold
The Fold in HiFi is a concert and events planning company based out of the Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles. Working with both emergent and established artists, local, national, and international, The Fold takes pride in providing a platform to find, develop, and showcase new music. We can also host a mean party. "It's finger placed firmly on the pulse of the underground music scene, the people at the Fold in HiFi have excellent taste in music, with some of the most interesting and talked-about bands coming through... The stages are intimate, but the sound rivals any top-tier venues in Los Angeles." - LAist (Best Venues in LA)
Presenting fiercely original music and events since April 17, 1997
"The Fold continually books bands on the brink, jolting LA's burgeoning underground music scene to new levels of visibility."- Flavorpill LA
"Thank the fold for the difference it has made and for all these great memories... Rufus Wainwright's first L.A. shows, the first time we saw Black Rebel Motorcycle Club... Ditto for Bright Eyes, Elliott Smith, and countless others." - LA Underground

Yes, countless. We've lost count long ago. But here's a list of a few we remember: Moses Sumney, King, Kitten, Grouplove, Local Natives, Cold War Kids, Bird and the Bee, Phantogram, Silversun Pickups, Autolux, Metric, B.R.M.C., and Devendra Banhart as well as being the first L.A. club to host acts such as Laura Mvula, Jessie Ware, Emile Sande, Lianne La Havas, The Head and The Heart, The Kills, Broken Bells, Mates of State, Rufus Wainwright, Vampire Weekend, Bright Eyes, My Morning Jacket, TV on the Radio, Polyphonic Spree, Fiery Furnaces, and Broken Social Scene among what must be at least three thousand more! Not to mention memorable shows from The Rapture, …Trail of Dead, Elliott Smith, Band of Skulls, The Breeders, Neko Case, and Jonathan Richman just to name names.
